Patricia McManus, Founder & Choreographer
Patricia, a Sunnyside, NYC resident, was born and raised in New Jersey to Irish parents where she began her dancing career in 1987. She has since spent more than twenty years competing with World Champions throughout America, Ireland, Canada and Great Britain under the famed Peter Smith school of Irish dance. Thru her competitive years, she won numerous prestigious awards from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Oireachtas, the North American Championships, All-Ireland Championships and World Championships.
Her vast performance experience includes many notable venues such as Radio City, Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden and NJPAC. She currently performs throughout the East Coast with various NYC based Irish dance companies and bands. Her professional teaching experience includes over 10 years dance instruction and 6 years in the classroom with a private special education program in New Jersey.
Her love for Irish dance and creative vision led to the creation of “Celtic Cardio” where she utilizes the basics of traditional irish dance and aerobic arms and stretches to create a truly 'cardio' workout-- all while maintaining a social & fun atmosphere that both dancers and non-dancers alike can enjoy and benefit from.
